Candidates pursuing the flagship MCSE certification must pass seven exams; candidates seeking MCSA certification need to pass four. Exam 70-291 is a core requirement for both, and is intended to measure a candidate's ability to manage and maintain a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 environment. This revision will cover new technologies introduced in Windows Server 2003 R2, scheduled for release later this year, as well as new questions added that involve SP1 of the XP Professional desktop OS.
