While Molecular Medicine is becoming a major subject for most, if not all medical students and a great percentage of biology students, there has been no real course based textbook on the subject so far. Jens Kurreck and Cy Stein have both long-standing teaching experience on the subject, one from a biologist angle, the other with medical background. Together, they produced a textbook ideally suited for courses in Molecular Medicine incorporating modules from basic immunology to disease related signaling pathways, to virology to Gene Therapy to new approaches in personalized Medicine.
