Health communication and behavioral intervention is a new, rapidly developing, and highly visible subfield in the discipline of communication. A key concept within pubic health practice is that behavioral intervention programs need to be theory-based. The proposed volume is designed to fill this demand by assembling a careful selection of new and emerging health promotion theories into a single volume, written with an emphasis on practical application of theory to health promotion and health education programs.
