The book will be divided into three parts.  The first part will detail the role of field data acquisition in the broader disciplines of glaciology and glacial geomorphology and will cover the logistical preparations for fieldwork.  The second part focuses on field techniques in glaciology such as investigations on ice and meltwaters.  The final part looks at field techniques in glacial geomorphology ranging from investigations on glacial landforms and sediments.
